Board Member
Jean Pascal Niyigena works for the Service d’accueil et inclusion Francophone|SK (SAIF-SK) in the capacity of coordinator of case management services in the Prince Albert area.
Born and raised in Rwanda, later moved to Saskatchewan, and now lives in Prince Albert with his wife and three sons. Jean Pascal joined the settlement and integration sector in 2022 and he is proudly serving the francophone newcomers.
Jean Pascal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Chemistry and Postgraduate Diploma in Geothermal Energy Technology respectively obtained from the University of Rwanda and University of Auckland, New Zealand. Prior to moving to Saskatchewan, he served in energy and environmental sectors in Rwanda for more than ten years.
Having received an exceptional welcome from the settlement service providers when he arrived in the province, Jean Pascal wanted to broaden her horizons by joining the SAISIA board of directors to advocate and to help newly landed migrants with high needs to navigate through integration hurdles so that one day they can independently access settlement services and embrace immense opportunities that are available to them.
