Jess Hamm grew up in rural Saskatchewan but has made Saskatoon her home for over 16 years. She has her Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan with a major in English. Her passion for helping others is why she pursued the field of teaching but is also why she found herself working and staying in the non-profit sector.

Jess started working for the Saskatchewan Intercultural Association (SIA) in 2008 and she has coordinated and managed on several different programs before being promoted to the role of Executive Director in 2015. During Jess’s career, she has always been interested in advocacy and being an ally for others.

Jess has been involved with the Equity and Anti-Racism Committee run by SIA for over 9 years and throughout her years at SIA, she has developed or spearheaded new initiatives and programs that foster intercultural understanding and acceptance in our community.
