Applications Open September 15, 2026!

Great Plains College is pleased to announce that applications for the Newcomer Essential Skills – Introduction to Continuing Care Assistant Program (2027–2028) will open on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

Beginning in September 2027, the program is designed to help students develop the skills, knowledge, English language proficiency, and practical experience needed to pursue a career as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA).

Interested individuals can apply online through the Great Plains College Online Application Form or contact the Student Adviser by email or phone to attend an informational Zoom webinar before applying.

All applicants are required to attend a mandatory informational Zoom session to learn more about the program, admission requirements, and expectations.

To apply, applicants must complete the online application and submit the $75 non-refundable application fee. Once an application has been received, applicants will be contacted with details about the mandatory Zoom session. The session provides an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the program before moving forward.
