SAISIA is pleased to share a virtual professional development opportunity from Workplace Hospitality, Introduction to Workplace Safety. Following their presentation at our recent sector call, Workplace Hospitality has made this introductory training available to SAISIA members and their clients. This practical session is designed to help participants understand workplace safety fundamentals and build confidence as they enter or navigate Canadian workplaces.

Introduction to Workplace Safety provides an overview of essential workplace health and safety concepts that every worker should know. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of their rights and responsibilities, how to recognize common workplace hazards, and the importance of contributing to a safe and respectful work environment. This session is particularly valuable for newcomers entering the workforce, individuals seeking employment, and those who would like a better understanding of workplace expectations in Canada.
